Syncro -IT has in existence for over 30 years and over time we have continuously adapted our skill sets to match the needs of our clients.

We started off by providing SAGE accounting solutions and we employed a team of developers to create specialist Sage integrated programs, which were tailored to our clients unique requirements. Many of our clients wanted to integrate Sage with their electronic Till systems and we started to attract a growing number of enquiries from the retail sector. Our consultancy services were tasked with integrating point of sale stock control systems to link directly into e-commerce websites and we were often asked to recommend PoS systems.

We took the opportunity to expand our services into this vertical market. 

The website development market then exploded and website development became our main focus for many years.

As well as supplying these service we also provided, a general computer support service. This involved hardware, software, network installation and support, as well as website support and development. Then the Covid lockdown happened.

Covid decimated the retail industry and sadly we lost a lot of clients overnight.    

Our POS department virtually closed as shops were in decline.

We continued developing websites for a time but the market totally changed and there are so many excellent online commercial e-commerce web site providers available these days it has became financially unsustainable for independent developers to compete. We decided to withdraw from website development. However the upside to this is, that the vast numbers  of people now going online so inexpensively, means our general support business continues to grow and we offer Managed Support Services to a wide array of clients.

The work from home phenomena has also created opportunities for us, as hardware and safe internet connectivity is vital for the office and the home worker to exist.

Companies often spend lots of money in safeguarding their businesses from cyber attacks but very often they forget about WFH vulnerabilities. If someone gets hacked at home and then they log into work the office systems often miss the attack and the hackers are in.

Our biggest market in terms of growth is now Antivirus and Cyber Security services.
