A study by ACI Worldwide has found that loyalty schemes are much more powerful than commonly thought.
It found that:
- Nearly all consumers (84%) would be much more likely to purchase from one retailer than another, if they were a part of a loyalty scheme
- 71% feel the loyalty schemes they are with deliver strong benefits
- Women are far more likely to sign up to a loyalty scheme than men
Loyalty schemes are designed to hold customer retention – and these results show that they do in-fact work. It also increases the chances that the consumers won’t look to your competitors to compare prices, as they feel they will get a better deal from the loyalty scheme.
